The guestroom renovation at in Minneapolis’ Hotel Ivy was the first project that I took the lead on, from invention of the narrative through to the completion of construction. The hotel integrates the historic Ivy Tower with a modern skyscraper. The guestroom design blends a rare example of ziggurat architecture in Minneapolis with the city’s admiration and conservation of nature. This was accomplished in part with custom casegoods, carpet, and wallcoverings. The following images comprise photographs of the completed project, renderings, and a mood board and palette.
